A company that I co-founded, Bandgap Enginering, in 2007 developed a high efficiency nanotextured silicon solar cell. The technology increases the efficiency and lowers the cost of solar electricity relative to the technologies being used in manufacturing at the time. Since that time, some of the related patents are the center of an ITC lawsuit.
As the litigation progresses and I am free to discuss my experiences more, I hope to share some of what I have learned on protecting your intellectual property. I hope that other hardworking and well-intentioned inventors can learn from my experiences.
